The Loadside was a pickup model of the Corvair. It also had a rear engine. This produced a high tailgate area and a low deck in the middle of the truck. This made it hard to load and unload. Chevy also came out with a Corvair Rampside which had a ramp that dropped down on the passenger side making it much easier to load and unload.
The Loadside was only produced in 1961 and 1962, while the Rampside continued through 1964.
