 For Sale is my 1962 Corvair Greenbrier van. This van is very solid with no rot on the body and underneath is just as solid. All of the door jambs are like new and the body does have some very slight surface rust (very light) on the lower driver's side quarter panel. Other than this, there is no other rust on the body. You will not find one more solid and there is absolutely no rust underneath! California vehicle that was purchased a year and a half ago. This van does run but the engine has a tick (either a flat cam lobe or a spun bearing). It has a 110 HP engine in it that I put roughly 1000 miles on last summer before it developed the engine noise but still starts right up. The transmission is a good used unit I installed last year that shifts properly and the clutch is also in good shape. I highly recommend you come look at the vehicle before purchasing, you will not believe how solid this van really is! Was going to paint it but the patina started to grow on me so I left it alone. It does have a "custom plexiglass sunroof" (was that way when I got it) and flared rear fender wells. This thing is an attention getter, everywhere I take it people stop me! All of the following has been done to the vehicle since it has been in my possession:
- All new wheel bearings
- New brakes (wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, master cylinder)
- Fuel tank cleaned and sealed
- New ball joints and control arm bushings
- Fresh wheel alignment
- New engine gaskets
- New u-joints
- Custom 17" wheels and tires
- Electronic ignition conversion and rebuilt distributor
- New transmission gaskets
- New carpet
- Custom stereo and CB
- All electrical has be gone through and updated
- New battery
- Steering box adjusted
- New tie rods
- New shocks on all 4 corners
- Rebuilt the carburetors
